2014 COI Disclosure Status Reflected in Sparta System
The deadline for submission of CWRU 2014 Outside Interests Disclosure forms was April 1, 2015. The Sparta System reflects those who have submitted their 2014 disclosure to the Conflict of Interests (COI) Office.
Please be aware, however, that if individuals listed as key personnel on proposals in Sparta have not completed the 2014 Outside Interests Disclosure process, those individuals will need to do so before proposals can continue in the approval workflow. It is important to allow enough time to address any instances of overdue disclosures when submitting a proposal.
For assistance with the disclosure process or any questions, contact the staff of the Conflict of Interests Office at 216-368-0838 or 216-368-5963 (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Calling all core facility administrators! The Controller’s Office and the School of Medicine (SOM) Office of Research Administration are hosting a workshop on billing and reporting processes for core facilities. All staff involved in any part of billing and reporting for a core facility or shared resource are strongly encouraged to attend. Multiple sessions have been scheduled for your convenience.
If you are unable to attend either of these sessions, let us know on the registration page and we will work to schedule additional sessions. Contact Joan Schenkel in the SOM Office of Research Administration with questions: email@example.com, 216-368-4268.
Registration is online here.
CWRU researchers who receive requests for information that invoke the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) should contact the Office of General Counsel. This should be done immediately so the extremely short deadlines under FOIA can be met. General Counsel can work with the faculty member to take steps to protect proprietary or confidential information from grants and protocols prior to the release of the requested information. Individual researchers should not release information without first consulting with the CWRU Office of General Counsel.
For more information, contact the Office of General Counsel at: http://www.case.edu/president/counsel/contactus.html.
